Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms cover your use of SpecBot: the website (specbot.dev), the web app (app.specbot.dev) and the SpecBot app for Claude and ChatGPT (the "MCP App"). By creating an account or connecting SpecBot to an AI app, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.
Who provides SpecBot
SpecBot is provided by Dabanny Ltd (Дабани ООД), a company registered in Bulgaria, EIK 205476845, VAT BG205476845, registered address Nikola Petkov 7, 2100 Elin Pelin, Bulgaria ("we", "us").
Your account
- SpecBot is for business use. You need to be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms for yourself or your business.
- Give us a real email address and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including through apps you connect.
- Tell us at support@specbot.dev if you think someone else has access.
Plans and limits
- Free: 3 proposals and 3 AI drafts a month, no card needed. AI drafts unlock once you verify your email.
- Pro: €12 a month, or €9 a month billed yearly (€108 a year), per account with no seats, for unlimited proposals and 50 AI drafts a month (also shown in the pricing section). Pro is billed in advance through Stripe and renews until you cancel.
- Limits reset at the start of each calendar month. Unused proposals and AI drafts don't carry over.
- We may change prices or limits. For paid plans we tell you at least 30 days before a price change applies to you.
Cancelling
- Cancel any time from the billing page in settings. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for; we don't refund partial months.
- When Pro ends (cancelled or unpaid), your account falls back to Free: 3 proposals and 3 AI drafts a month. Your existing proposals stay, and links you already sent keep working for your clients.
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time; see Privacy Policy.
Your content
You own what you put into SpecBot: your catalog, terms, content blocks and proposals, including AI-drafted text once it is in your account. You give us a licence to store, process, render and send that content only so we can run the service for you (show it in the app, render share links and PDFs, email it to the clients you choose). The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups until they roll off.
You are responsible for your content: that you have the right to use it, that your prices and promises are accurate, and that you have a lawful basis for the client details you enter. AI-generated drafts can be wrong; read them before you send them.
Acceptable use
Don't use SpecBot to:
- send spam, phishing or proposals to people who haven't asked to hear from you;
- break the law, infringe someone else's rights, or impersonate someone;
- upload malware, probe or overload the service, or get around plan limits or security;
- resell SpecBot or present it as your own software. Shared proposal pages show a small "Made with SpecBot" line unless you set your own footer text in settings, which you can do on any plan.
We can suspend or close accounts that do these things. Where we can, we warn you first.
Client acceptance and signed PDFs
When your client accepts a proposal on its share link, SpecBot records the acceptance and produces a signed PDF (the proposal plus an acceptance certificate). We store the signer's name, role, company and email, their IP address and browser, the time, the options and totals they accepted, and a hash of the exact version they saw, so the record can be checked later.
The agreement is between you and your client. SpecBot is not a party to it, doesn't check that the signer has authority, and doesn't guarantee the agreement is enforceable where you or your client are. If you need a qualified electronic signature or a lawyer-drafted contract, use one alongside SpecBot.
The SpecBot app for Claude and ChatGPT
- When you connect SpecBot to Claude or ChatGPT, the assistant acts for you. What it does through SpecBot (listing and editing offerings, drafting proposals, sending them) counts as your action under these terms.
- Sending a proposal to a client requires your confirmation. The assistant shows you the draft first and SpecBot only sends it once you have said to.
- Your use of Claude or ChatGPT itself is under Anthropic's or OpenAI's terms, not ours.
- You can disconnect at any time in that app's settings, or email us to revoke access.
Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep SpecBot running and your data safe, but we don't promise it will be available without interruption or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we remove something a paid plan depends on, or shut SpecBot down, we give at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your proposals.
Liability
SpecBot is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost deals, lost profit or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose (or EUR 50 if you are on the Free plan). Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud or gross negligence.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we email account holders at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you keep using SpecBot after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, cancel and ask us to delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. Disputes go to the competent courts in Bulgaria, without taking away any consumer protection you have where you live.
